David Johnson is over the first hurdles of his rehabilitation journey.
The Cardinals running back tweeted a recovery update from his hospital bed on Sunday after undergoing surgery on his injured wrist.
Johnson shared two photos of himself with his son, saying the procedure was just a minor set back for a major come back.

Johnson suffered the injury in the third quarter of Arizona’s season-opening loss to the Lions. The 25-year-old player earned All-Pro honors last year in his first full season as a starter, rushing for 1,239 yards and 16 touchdowns and adding 879 yards and four scores receiving.
Watt, 22, compiled a swatted pass and a pair of tackles before exiting with the injury. He boasted a historic performance in Week 1 when he became just the third player in NFL history with two sacks and an interception in his debut.
Game Kids Jay Ajayi Jersey This is the 10th anniversary of the Super Bowl XLII-winning Giants, who started 0-2 and trailed 17-3 at halftime in Week 3 at their division rivals in Washington before frantically turning things around in the second half to pull out a late victory en route to a six-game winning streak. On Sunday, Eli Manning didn’t get the comeback started until even later, but this time luck wasn’t on the Giants’ side.

This is why Sean McVay was hired. Coach McVay worked wonders in Washington with Kirk Cousins.
Game Kids Brandon Marshall Jersey
With McVay calling the plays, Cousins threw for 4,166 and 4,917 yards in 2015 and 2016. Washington ran a steady diet of play-action passes off its zone run game. This gives easy reads for the quarterback and opportunities for big-chunk plays. It builds confidence in a young quarterback
This is exactly what the Rams offense was last week against the Colts. Steady run game, followed up with play action passes. In 2016, Goff had a dreadful 5.3 yards per pass attempt. In the first game of the 2017 season, that number jumped to 10.6. Yes, it’s a small sample size, but this is just the start of this offense.
Sunday’s games at least look a little better. I have two big underdog picks this week, which I’m sure I won’t regret at all. The Browns are 8-point underdogs against the Ravens, and I’m just not buying that. I actually feel pretty good about that one.
I also picked the Bills to cover a 7-point spread on the road against Carolina. Logic says, there’s no way the Bills won’t get kneecapped in this one, but the Panthers just don’t look to me like they have things figured out yet. Plus, I’m no doctor, but it doesn’t look like Cam Newton’s shoulder is back to 100 percent yet.
Mike Glennon homecoming! Okay, that’s maybe the fifth most interesting thing about this game. This is the first game of the season for the Bucs. I’m anxious to see how the offense looks after the addition of DeSean Jackson. Throw into the mix with Mike Evans, it should be a potent unit, and you see that reflected in the spread. But it’s only their first game. Will they have had a chance to gel as a group? Probably not as fully as they will, but they don’t exactly need to be a well-oiled machine to beat a 7-point spread against the Bears and Mike Glennon.
The Eagles and Chiefs are playing in a reunion game Sunday. Eagles coach Doug Pederson was the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator from 2013-2015, before taking the Eagles job in 2016.
Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters went over to his team’s old offensive coordinator and jokingly tried to take the play sheet:
The Chiefs had a few good seasons with Pederson running the offense. They went 11-5 in 2013 and 2015, with a 9-7 season sandwiched in between.
Pederson wouldn’t do his old team any favors with the play sheet, but it’s clear there’s still a mutual respect on both sides.
Peters is a good player, so he really doesn’t need the help anyway.
Elliott and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones both lamented the length of the league’s investigation. It took over a year for a few reasons, including the NFLPA waiting until May to turn over Elliott’s phone records and other relevant documents to the NFL.
An NFL investigation into player conduct involves several moving parts. The league won’t even begin its inquiry until law enforcement finishes its process and determines whether or not to file charges. For Elliott, that happened when the Columbus City Attorney’s Office declined to pursue charges against him in Sept. 2016.
League investigators interviewed 12 different witnesses, including Elliott and his accuser, and reviewed thousands of text messages and other documents related to the domestic violence allegations. The text messages available to league investigators exceeded what law enforcement had to work with during its initial investigation, according to The Washington Post.
Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen broke his right foot in a Week 2 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Olsen was placed on injured reserve on Tuesday, but he could return.
Olsen broke his right foot in the first half against the Bills. When the Panthers came out of the tunnel to start the second half, Olsen was walking with crutches and sporting a walking boot. Carolina shortly announced that its star tight end would not return to the game, which the Panthers Brandon Carr Youth Jersey won 9-3. Olsen finished the game with one catch for 10 yards.
“First of all, the number of plays that these guys play, then Tobias Enstrom Womens Jersey take that to the next week, is really a competitive disadvantage,” said Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh. “Guys get worn out. It’s hard to recover from one week to the next.”
Of course, there’s concern that we might see even more ties, with the shorter period leading to fewer scoring opportunities. There’s also a chance, however slight, that the team that wins the coin toss simply squats on the ball for almost the entire 10 minutes before kicking a field goal. But that’s only an extreme theoretical, and we’ll have to wait and see how teams adjust their strategies when a game goes into overtime this season.
Last season, the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks tied 6-6, and a London game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington ended in a 27-27 score.
The rules are about the same in the playoffs, except we go into a second period and beyond until there is a winner. Just like in the regular season, playoff overtime periods will be 10 minutes long. Of course, the New England Patriots didn’t need 10 minutes to finish their miracle comeback against the Atlanta Falcons — James White scored the game-winning touchdown on the opening possession to cap off the first overtime period in Super Bowl history.
A seesaw game throughout saw Washington hold the lead for most of the contest, including 20-10 at the half. The Redskins were held scoreless to start the second half as Los Angeles tied the score at 20 before Kirk Cousins led a 10-play, 70-yard TD drive with 1:49 remaining. Jared Goff threw an interception on the first play of the following drive to seal it. Those on the over early cashed, as it was at 45.5 and 46 early in the week.
Authentic Mens Solomon Hill Jersey The spread was never in doubt in this one, as Seattle drove the length of the field on its first two possessions, but settled for two short Blair Walsh field goals. San Francisco had success on the ground and tied it 6-6 at the half, before taking a 9-6 lead in the fourth quarter. Russell Wilson (23-of-39, 198 yards) was far from sharp, but led a fourth-quarter game-winning TD drive. This game was San Francisco and under all the way.

He noted the quarterback and center needed to get the snap off before the play clock expired.
Did I single [Manning] out? McAdoo said during a conference call on Tuesday. Well, we needed to get the ball snapped there. So, I thought that the quarterback and the center need to find a way to get the ball snapped before the clock hit zero. I’m not sure what you mean by calling him out; we need to get the ball snapped.
Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett says he is considering filing a civil rights lawsuit after being detained by Las Vegas police following the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Conor McGregor fight last month.

In a note addressed Dear World that Bennett posted on social media Wednesday, he said officers singled me out and pointed their guns at me for doing nothing more than simply being a black man in the wrong place at the wrong time following the Aug. 26 mega-fight at T-Mobile Arena.
Bennett said he was leaving the arena to return to his hotel when he and several hundred others in the area heard what sounded like gunshots and began to run for safety. He said a police officer in the area stopped him and ordered him to get on the ground, then put a gun to his head and explicitly threatened to shoot him if he moved. Bennett said a second officer then forcefully jammed his knee into my back as they handcuffed him.

On learning a new defense and being ready for Week 1: I’m just trying to get the terminology. When they’re making those play calls, I’m just trying to see what I would do. Putting myself in position if I was out on the field when they’re making those calls. Just getting the terminology, the checks and all that stuff down.
I don’t think (it will take much time to get caught up). Like I said before, I played in a similar scheme with this twice before. I had coach Ray Horton as our defensive coordinator. It’s just a little bit different terminology, but I should be able to get it.
Sergio Dipp is getting a lot of flack for his awkward sideline report during ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” broadcast of Chargers-Broncos, but there’s more to know about him than that live TV moment.
There are five things to know, in fact:
The 25-year-old was injured in the third quarter of Sunday’s season-opening loss to the Lions. Johnson earned All-Pro honors last year in his first full season as a starter, rushing for 1,239 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2016 and adding 879 yards and four TDs receiving.
Dalton finished 16 for 31 for 170 yards and the aforementioned four INTs. He was also sacked five times. According to ESPN, Dalton recorded an adjusted QB rating of 0.6. That’s the worst qualifying single-game QBR since Peyton Manning against the Chiefs in 2015.
Still, you wouldn’t have guessed this game was a blowout by taking a quick glance at the box score. The Ravens outgained the Bengals by a 268-221 margin, and Joe Flacco threw for only 121 yards.
While this wasn’t the start to the season Bengals fans were hoping for, it’s obviously far too early to ring any alarm bells — although, we’re sure that’s what plenty of people will be doing in Cincinnati and around the country these next few days.
As far as we’re concerned, this was just one really bad game for Cincy and Dalton. They’ll get another chance when they host Houston next week.
Even NFL officials are still getting used to the idea of the Chargers being in Los Angeles.
Authentic Womens Lance Dunbar Jersey With 11:06 left in the first quarter of the Chargers’ season opener on the road against the Denver Broncos, a miked official could be heard saying, First charged timeout … to San Diego …
Since the Chargers announced in January the team’s intentions to move to Los Angeles, NFL players and fans are still coming to terms with the team being in L.A., with several still referring to the San Diego Chargers.
During his introductory news conference, even Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn slipped up, saying he was proud to be the new head coach of the San Diego Chargers instead of the newly named Los Angeles Chargers.

Oops, I meant L.A. Chargers, Lynn said, correcting himself.
See? I’m not ignoring the 49ers and Rams games! I’m merely giving them the same enthusiasm they got from local fans.
With the Seahawks facing third down deep in their own territory, I think, Oh God, Russell’s going to throw an interception here, isn’t he? But no, I’m wrong. He fumbles instead. Packers get the ball on the 5.
Watching the replay, Troy Aikman blames Wilson for not protecting the ball better. And yes, that is technically factual, but it also ignores the reality of Packers linemen streaming through Seahawks-colored turnstiles on every play.
Panthers rookie running back Christian McCaffrey didn’t quite hit the ground running as well as advertised in Sunday’s 23-3 win over the 49ers, but he was a consistent part of Carolina’s offense.
McCaffrey touched the ball 18 times for 85 total yards in Week 1. The

But Carolina coach Ron Rivera is anxious about McCaffrey’s heavy Authentic Jared Crick Jersey usage going forward.
“It’s like getting that new toy at Christmas,” Rivera said, via ESPN.com. “You open up the box and there’s what you’d hoped for. But you also have to be wise and smart about when you play with it and when you don’t, because you don’t want to wear the batteries out. You don’t want to break it.
Still, Watson undeniably provided a spark and gave the Texans their first points of the game.
The Texans generated just 52 yards of offense in the first half and Savage turned the ball over twice, including a fumble that was returned for a touchdown just before halftime. That play put the Jacksonville Jaguars ahead 19-0 and was likely the impetus for the switch. Savage finished the half 7-of-13 passing for 62 yards, taking six sacks in the process.
Though no one expected the Texans to make a change this quickly, Savage starting over Watson was always going to be a temporary situation. Watson was the Heisman Trophy runner-up last season and led Clemson to a national championship before getting selected No. 12 overall by Houston.
Watson made a handful of spectacular plays during preseason, though his overall stats weren’t impressive. He completed 51.8 percent of his passes for 397 yards, no touchdowns and one interception across three appearances. He also rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns.

Mr. Fourth Quarter. The guy whose Week 16 broken leg deprived the Raiders of finding out whether they were the team who had the best chance to unseat Tom Terrific & Co. But Carr is back, with a healed-up ankle and a beefed-up bank account. They added Jared Cook to his receiving corps and Marshawn Lynch to his backfield. The offensive line is still good. Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree are still there. The defense looks as if it could give up some points, necessitating even more fourth-quarter comebacks. Everything is in place for Carr to launch himself into the MVP conversation in his fourth season — especially when you consider he already was in the mix during his third.

Losing helped all of those franchises net early draft picks, but losing wasn’t the goal. And even though New York’s recent roster moves undoubtedly make the team worse in 2017, it frees up cap space and open room for younger players to compete and be potential stars of the Jets’ future.
The Jets are adamant that they’re not tanking.
None of us on the team think that we’re going to tank, running back Matt Forte, one of the few players over 30, told the Associated Press. So all I have to say about that is: Bring it.
